Description: Hard to find Griswold fully lettered Victor No 7 cast iron skillet. This example was from a series of skillets that was manufactured around 1935 and is in excellent restored condition. The cooking surface has light utensil scores and patches of fine etching from corrosion. These are almost undetectable as you glide you fingers over a glass smooth surface. Two sheets of printer paper slipped under the bottom edge stops movement on a polished granite surface. No chips, cracks or repairs.Test for flatness of skillet. With the skillet resting on a polished granite surface, press down all along the top rim searching for movement. If movement is found, slip pieces of printer paper under one edge of the until pot stops moving.This item is from an old collection and was cleaned and seasoned, then stored for many years. Because item was stored for many years, there may be spots of light surface rust. This can generally be washed away then re-seasoned before use. This item is photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, item may take on a brown color. Item is much darker under normal light.
