This is made to be hard-wired to a ceiling box, not a plug-in swag lamp, though it could be converted if you are handy. The panels are real stained glass in alternating colors of yellow and blue. They have an interesting 3D pebbled surface. The lantern has an antiqued brass finish on the metal surface - a very good look. Checked and is working properly - ready to install. Careful packaging.
