Description: The Griswold Manufacturing Company Erie, Pennsylvania Years of operation 1865-1957, when the company was bought by Wagner Manufacturing Co. The company made hinges initially before switching to cookware around 1890.Vintage Griswold #7 small block logo cast iron skillet with early tear drop handle. Restored. No cracks or chips, some light stains on inside, please see pictures. Nice cook surface. Sits flat, surface is slightly concave. Made in the USA circa ~1939-1944. Please refer to pictures as they are of the actual item. These cast iron pieces have been carefully restored by stripping them down to bare metal by natural means. No sand blasting, wire wheels, or any other such equipment is ever on any of my restorations, so as to respect the original craftsmanship and historical character of the iron's surface. As such, natural irregularities in the iron's surface will be present, which can include casting flaws, pitting, or utensil nicks. Please refer to pictures for details specific to each piece. Each piece of cookware is seasoned 3 times. Thanks for looking!
