Vintage Hand Made 13" Hunting Knife, wood handle NEVER USED, Germany

Description: ATH#240138 NEVER USED – NEVER SHAPRENED except by the craftsman who made it. Vintage German hand-Made Hunting Knife 12 ¾” Long Wood handle 8” Drop-Point blade Not the blade-stock and the tang and the lanyard loop are all one piece steel This guy did a very nice job of building this knife. The sheath is not in the same condition as the knife- it is pretty beat up and worn – just smoething to protect the knife with, not something you can put on your belt and go out in the wild with unless you have the talent to fix up the torn belt slit. Carbon steel with the bloom of several decades As far as I know, what I call “bloom” cannot be felt. The spot on the right side of the blade about 1” from the finger guard at the cutting edge CAN be felt – this is most likely some surface rust (no other rust). When I want to clean a blade – either minor rust or bloom (which removing bloom can sometimes downwardly impact the value to a collector) I use Flitz. If you would like me to Flitz the surface rust area, just ask me (when you check out you have a chance to leave a not for the seller). I’ll even clean up the entire blade if you ask when you buy it – though I might not put in all the time needs to completely eradicate the bloom, but I’ll get the vast majority of it! Thank you.
