Description: Offering a beautiful, small, vintage Chinese Yixing clay tea pot. My great aunt had a cabinet display of tea pots and this is one from that collection. This hand-made tea pot is 4.5" tall and 4" square. The body style is angular. The color is a wonderful, deep-blue green almost cyan. These types of Yixing clay tea pots are not painted. This is the natural color of the clay due to the presence of the minerals it carries. The bottom is stamp marked as is the interior of the lid. The spout end inside the pot has small, poked through strainer holes for tea leaves. I do not think my aunt ever used this for tea. There are no usage stains or chips or cracks.
