Description: As the movie "Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio" is based on the 1883 novel by Carlo Collodi, so, too, was Walt Disney’s story version, which came out in book form in 1939 and as an animated film in 1940. This 1939 book I am offering is the second printing that year. Because Disney's film was in production at the same time as the book, the book has artist line drawings from the movie throughout. In fact, every one of the 70 story pages contains an illustration or a line drawing taken from the animation artists’ work-up. There is also an intro by Walt Disney and sitting across from it is a Christmas inscription from "Aunt Margaret to Allen". Some of the pages in this 8 ¾”x 11 ½” hardcover have creases but there are NO stains, rips, tears or repairs and the double-page plate of MONSTRO,often missing, is present and fantastic! All-in-all, the inside is a very strong VG. Binding is tight although there is one spread showing separation, as pictured. Outside, the spine shows shelf wear as does the rest of the front and back cover’s perimeter, but there are no tears, marks or stains. Shipping economy USPS Media Mail service. Accepts PayPal, credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal Credit. (Click on colle-64, above right, to browse my other listings and combine items to save shipping $$.)
