Vintage Hollow Porcelain Oval Shaped Sculptures With Decals Bird Owl Butterfly

Description: Lot of three vintage hollow oval porcelain sculptures/figurines with a hand applied decal on each. The decals appear as though they may have a light coat of sealant over the area (like decoupage). This set includes a bird, an owl, and a butterfly all in earth tone shades of brown. The porcelainis a bit more ivory in color than our amateur photos are portraying. They are very smooth.They are each about the size of a large bar of soap measuring 4" long x 2 7/8" wide x 1 3/8" high.They are older and have crazing throughout the shiny glazed surfaces. Each has a large openingin the bottom. These versatile figures can be used as décor among and in houseplants, tucked inamong other decorative items, or as light paperweights. They range in weight from 3.8 to 4.7 ounces.Unknown age and origin. They remind us of somewhat flattened eggs.Very good used condition with some surface scrapes on the decals. There is crazing in the shiny glaze surface on all three. There is a small crack in the back of the one with the owl. It is on the inside edge of the opening on the back and is common for porcelain. If you zoom in on our second photo it can beseen on the bottom sculpture at the top edge of the opening. It does not compromise the integrity of the piece. 417050 Lime Green Tag 8.7.7
