Description: A little history lesson first, courtesy of RWCN.com and westernkentuckyuniversity.pastperfectonline.com ... Honey-Krust Bread, a 46,000-square-foot bakery, was located at 1349 Adams Street, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The company formed in 1936 and began producing bread (with honey in the recipe) in 1937. After undergoing two ownership changes, it was bought by Sara Lee Corp. in 2001. And now on to this listing ... Offered here is an advertising piece, a 2-handled bean crock pot in beige and brown, stamped in blue ink with the Honey Krust name. Holds about 2 pints -- thick and heavy-duty. The lid is coordinating, but an imperfect marriage. It is actually for a McCoy Pottery onion soup bowl. It doesn't have a "lip" to nest inside the rim of the pot - It just rests on top. So, if you tilt the pot out of the horizontal position, the lid will slide right off. The lid is really for display only. But if you need a functional lid, I was able to track down a company who can make one for $25 plus shipping. I'll be happy to pass along that contact info if you request it. The price of this piece has been discounted due to the mismatched lid. Both the pot and the lid are in very good vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, repairs, or other unusual wear. Absolutely lovely. If you are a collector of Honey Krust memorabilia, this will make a fine addition to your collection. Will be packed with care and shipped with GOBS of packing material! I am listing many other items on eBay, including other vintage bakeware and advertising items. So, please check my other listings, as I will be happy to combine shipping. I do not accept returns. Please examine the description and photos carefully, and ask questions if you are unsure. ABSOLUTELY NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES!
