Description: Lovely estate find! This is a vintage hand printed batik sarong/wrap from Malaysia. The design and colors are incredible! Very "Polynesian" in appearance, it is gorgeous. I knew nothing about sarongs before I found this and had to research how they are worn. There are lots of tutorials about how to wear a sarong, both for males and females. It can be worn around the hips or wrapped around the upper torso and tied around the neck or under the arms. Perhaps the perfect clothing item for cruises or vacations to warm, tropical islands, as it is versatile and could be a swimsuit cover-up or worn as a skirt or dress for a nice dinner out. I believe there is a handwritten "L' on the maker's tag, but not sure. Measures 40" wide at the narrowest point near the top, where a female might wear it as a dress or cover-up.
