Description: VINTAGE HUDSON'S BAY 4-POINT BLANKET WOOL Late 1920’s-1930’s - This vintage HBC 4- point blanket has the "small red label" which was used by the Hudson's Bay Company in their point blankets in the 1920's and 1930's, as they later changed to the larger, yellow or golden, "English Only" label that was then in use until 1971, give or take. Very thick, heavy, compact 100% virgin wool blanket made in England by HBC. It is a 4-point blanket. Actual measurements are 90" by 70" across, exactly. The bed in the photos is a queen, 80" by 60". Barely used condition. History- “This blanket is one of the classic "Indian Trade" collectible pieces, the "trapper" cabin blanket that HBC exported, with great success, to Canada and the USA since the 19th century, or earlier.It is nowadays practically impossible to find one of this old blankets in this condition.” These blankets vary in price and are becoming increasingly more valuable through time as collectors and appraisers learn more about these blankets. Prices will vary based on the colors used, size, age and special edition versions of these blankets which have been made for over 250 years.
