Description: Signed Iitalla Chanterlle Vase 5 1/8" tallIt is signed "Tapio Wirkkala ?? 86" I'm pretty sure that means it was made in 1986 as others are signed similarly, typically Tapio Wirkkala Iitalla 86 "Legendary artist Tapio Wirkkala’s Kantarelli vase takes its name and shape from the chanterelle mushrooms that cover his native Finland. Shortly after its creation, the striking mouthblown glass art piece won the 1951 Milan Triennial and became a part of the permanent collection at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. In the decades since, the Kantarelli vase has become an icon of Scandinavian design for its stunning balance between function and form. The master craftsmen at the Iittala Glass Factory use the wheel-engraved technique on every unique mouthblown vase. Iitalla Product Description Condition: ***As-Is*** The Vase is in Very Good overall condition But there are 2 Scratches on top and a dot that you can feel. The larger scratch is 7/8" long. The smaller scratch is on the edge and is just short of 1/4". You cannot feel the scratches to the touch. The dot you can feel. I tried to describe everything I can see, but I may have missed something. The black background also has white lint on it so that confuses things. If you want additional photos, please message me.
