Vintage Indian Currency, 2 Rupee Note with Protective Case, Excellent Condition This India 2 Rupee banknote from 1977 is part of the 1975 - 1995 series. The front features a language panel with Hindu text, a peacock, an ornate wheel, the lion capital of Ashoka pillar, and the RBI seal with tiger and palm tree. On the reverse side features an image of the Aryabhata satellite orbiting the earth. The note measures 107 x 63 mm and does not contain any security threads however a watermark image of an ornate wheel and the lion capital of the Ashoka pillar are added to the design to enhance the banknote's security. Has some slight wear otherwise in excellent condition.
