Description: Old tin box of Lazzaroni biscuits, a historic company of the Italian confectionery industry, producer, among other things, of Amaretti di Saronno. Lazzaroni, the first Italian company to industrialize the production of biscuits, started marketing with the homonymous brand starting from 1888. However, the first entrepreneurial activity dates back to the early eighteenth century, when the Lazzaroni family, born in Teglio, Valtellina, moved to Saronno and began the artisan production of Amaretti di Saronno pastries. Lazzaroni was one of the first companies to use cans as containers for storing biscuits. This box in particular with a rectangular shape, which takes up the original packaging of 1910, as shown in the bottom right corner of the lid, is in excellent condition, on the surface there are slight dents and signs of wear due to time.
