Description: Beautiful, vintage Kashmiri choker that has been restrung and polished. The metal is both shiny and burnished but also worn and aged as well. The crevices around the bezels are darkened and one of the bezel teeth has bent. Some of the dangles are misshapen - visible in photos. Lots of jingling accents that make a sound with movement. The sound not only announces your arrival, but wards off the evil eye as well. Not including the ties, this is 11.75" across. The ties are 5.5" each which gives you some room to adjust to fit. Made of a brass alloy that is not completely silver in color - contains copper which emits a subtle, warm hue. The metal is shiny and polished but the recessed areas are oxidized and dark. Combines the best of traditional Kashmiri jewelry with the contemporary cord. I sourced the choker in this condition and did not polish it myself. Weighs just over 7.5 ounces.
