Description: Vintage Kenner 12 back (C) Darth Vader. This is a vintage 1978 Kenner 12 back (C) Darth Vader. I bought this graded an AFA 75 over 10 years ago. The reason why it is no longer in its graded case is because it had several obvious fingerprints on the blister, and my OCD just wouldn’t let it go. I figured I’d never sell it, so I ended up busting him out of his case. I have provided a fair amount of pics showing the item from different angles, trying my best to be transparent about what flaws are present on the packaging, which to be fair are very little. It is unpunched - a big plus. There are a few very minor stress lines (I can’t even call them creases because they’re not). Edges and corners are quite clean and have very little wear. The blister pack I would consider pristine if not for the tiniest little dent near the top right corner. Blister pack is totally intact on the card, with no signs of separation. The figure itself I would call pristine, with none of the white frosting you tend to see on a lot of these. This was displayed in a protective acrylic case the entire time I’ve owned it, away from direct sunlight, so there is no fading to the card or figure, and the colors are still very vibrant. This is an excellent specimen of an iconic character and figure in its original packaging that’s approaching 45yrs old. I wish I could have kept him in his AFA graded case as explained above, but it didn’t bother me in my time owning it because I never intended to sell. However, times are tough and I must unfortunately and reluctantly part with it. Worth noting: I am an adult collector, 37yrs old, and have been a collector most of my life. I collect high-end collectibles, and take great pride and excellent care of my things. My best hope is that he goes to a new home that cherishes it as much as I have.
