Description: VINTAGE KENSICO MANUFACTURING “SPIKER-AERATOR” LAWN / FARM / GARDEN 32” SPIKER / AERATOR ASSEMBLY This is a vintage Kensico Manufacturing “Spiker-Aerator” lawn / farm / garden 32” spiker / aerator with weight tray assembly. Kensico advertised the “Spiker-Aerator” as being a 32” model though the spiker / aerator blade row itself measures approximately 30” wide. The overall width of the spiker / aerator assembly is approximately 35”, with the width of the weight tray area being approximately 33-1/2”, and having an overall weight of approximately 65-pounds. The Kensico “Spiker-Aerator” assembly being sold originally had a frame and hitch mount assembly for pulling behind a lawn tractor, ATV, etc. Unfortunately the original tow-behind frame and hitch mount assembly was removed for storage and is now long gone but the most important and hardest piece to fabricate part is still here, the spiker / aerator assembly with the top weight tray. The last image included in this listing contains advertisements for reference only showing what the spiker / aerator looked like when attached to the original tow-behind frame assembly. These Kensico “Spiker-Aerator” assemblies were offered and sold as an optional attachment by many of the popular lawn tractor manufactures such as Bolens, Sears, Case, and Gravely just to name a few. The Kensico “Spiker-Aerator” is in good overall used condition aside from not including the original tow-behind frame assembly but does have all the typical marks, paint loss, and rust/corrosion associated with use, age, and storage. There are no additional brackets, hardware, or tow-behind frame assembly included with the spiker / aerator assembly, only what is described and pictured.
