This is a gorgeous lady's sweater, and something a little different from your usual Fair Isle pattern, and I love the music note detailing (small un-numbered chart included for motif). It was originally knitted in 3-ply yarn on No.10 and 12 needles for either an all over design or with a Fair Isle yoke on the back and front only. You may wish to try to knit this jumper in modern 4-ply as vintage yarns were heavier than todays yarns but work your tension square to see if a change of needles is needed to obtain the tension stipulated in the pattern.If you purchase any of my vintage copied patterns you can enjoy free p&p on any vintage knitting needles purchased from my shop.
