Description: This is a great vintage hat made of dark brown velour by Lancaster in the USA. I assume the "WPL 4384" is a model number. There is a bronze satin ribbon where the crown meets the brim with a line of sparkly bronze ornaments. The back of the hat features an assortment of feathers in brown, white and red. There is a brown net veil with brown specks scattered about. The hat bears a label saying "Doris Designed." There is no indication on the hat of size. Measuring a couple of ways, we got circumference measurements from 21 1/2 inches to 22 1/4 inches. These would relate to U.S. hat sizes of 7 1/8 to 7 3/8. In other words, the hat is at the high side of a women's medium to the low end of a women's large. Sorry that we can't be more exact. We don't have a good feel for when this hat was made, but we bought it at an antique store in the late 1980's or early 1990's so it is at least 30 years old. This jaunty hat is in very good vintage condition and just what you need for a fancy party.
