Check out my other items!Be sure to add me to your favorites list!This listing is for a vintage (Leblanc) Normandy Bb soprano clarinet. This is a rare plateau style clarinet. Plateau clarinets do not have open hole 'rings' like a standard clarinet. Rather, they have solid keys with pads, more like a saxophone, or a closed hole flute. This type of clarinet is particularly useful for players who have difficulty covering the rings of a standard clarinet. This clarinet has the serial number 9334 on both main sections.This instrument is in very good physical condition; however it will require a re-pad to be put in playing condition. The Resonite (plastic) body is in great shape, with no chips to the tenons, nor any other damage. The keys are all moving freely and rebounding properly. There is light plating wear at high contact points. Some of the pads look alright, while others are quite deteriorated. One of the tenon corks has shredded off. I'd recommend all new pads and corks. The springs are in good condition though.This instrument comes in its original wood shell case. The case is in overall good condition as well. The inside is clean and odor free with normal wear and tear. There are some scuffs to the exterior covering, but it looks good overall.There is no mouthpiece, nor any other accessories included.
