Pingouin Co. c.1970 Model: 3 Register Chronograph Description: This is a vintage LeJour chronograph wristwatch coming to you as found as shown with exception to a NOS red rubber silicon divers strap. Although it is running and keeping accurate time with all chronograph functions working flawlessly, it is being sold as a non-running watch with the assumption the buyer will have it serviced before wearing it. The ONLY reason I state it is running, and show the performance on a machine is so that you, the next owner can see it will not require any major repairs and only needs a routine service to make sure all the components have fresh oil and grease to avoid long term major damage down the road. This is a beautiful looking watch and the only fault I see with it would be that someone has polished it before and they went down too far on the back cover, and then hand engraved the writing around the case back. It looks okay but you can tell that it has been redone. The rest of the case is nicely polished with slight imperfections throughout from normal wear. The glossy black dial is a perfect vintage dial with nice, crisp colors and evenly aged tritium accents. The hands are also very nice and almost perfect with all the original tritium inserts and a nice, round red lollipop sweep seconds hand that is also near perfect. The crystal appears to be original and is clean and clear with only minor imperfections if any. It has not been waterproofed so any/all factory specs are not guaranteed by us. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer example other than the second one I have listed that has never been polished. I have 4 of these in all which is why I am selling these 2. I take great care in packaging all the items being sold but, I especially take extra precautions when packing clocks. I do everything I can to prevent your clock arriving damaged.
