Description: MacGregor 2542 Ben Hogan Iron Set...2-9 irons.. Original pinned in black coated stiff steel shafts... 5 iron is 37.25'' Length -- Others are spaced correctly.. Stainless heads are great looking -- hard to believe they're 80 years old... Perforated leather grips extend 13'' down their shafts -- they are playable could be made great with some saddle soap... Black coated shafts are well coated.. Ferrules are good .. Faces and Grooves are very nice... This is a nice set of 40s MacGregor/Hogan irons could be pre or post war probably prewar if I'm guessing -- MacGregor catalogs were odd/non during war years... They aren't perfect - they are very good and were made in the years Hogan was a Man amongst Boys.... No surprises - Please See Pictures -- Ask Questions if needed.... Thanks...
