Description: We have for sale a vintage kitchen linen towel signed Made In Ireland. It measures approximately 20" x 30" and is in nice used condition. It features scenes of an "Old Irish Kitchen" with a woman cooking over an open fire on the fireplace while her wee baby sleeps in a bassinet. It includes the poem "There's a cheery Irish welcome, And a chair just set for you, Beside the glowing turf fire, If you call, as strangers do. The tea, of real Irish fare, and conversation gay. And the fiddles strains to an Irish song, Will call you back some day." This is from my mother Dorothy's (a Rosie the Riveter in WWII) collection. She was a fun, strong, and vibrant lady who had an eye for unique and beautiful items. Our hope is that these items find their way to people who will appreciate them as much as she did.
