Description: William J. Beitenbach, Professor of Art at Sam Houston State University. Breitenbach works primarily in the media of paper mache and his masks and puppets have been shown throughout the U. S. and Mexico, both in group and one person exhibitions. According to him, his work has been influenced by his own personal travel and study and during the past three Summers he has received faculty research grants from the University to prepare a monograph on Mexican Maskmakers. The artist passed in 2011 but there are still a few pieces of his work in circulation for collectors who appreciate his story & masterpieces.
