This is a beautiful old piece of yellowware by McCoy featuring the primitive windowpane pattern on this 11" stoneware mixing bowl. It is marked with the McCoy shield and a number 4 on the bottom. The bowl has a beautiful but rustic appeal! McCoy began using the windowpane pattern on their bowls in the mid-1920s. The bowls were part of a line of yellowware pottery that was inexpensive and utilitarian. The predominant colors for these bowls were yellow and green.
