Description: Vintage MCM 8 Culver Tyrol Highball Glasses 22K Gold Band Vertical Spear PatternThese design on these beautiful Hollywood Regency Style 12 oz. glasses with weighted bottoms dates from the Mad Men era when cocktail hour was an art. Featuring a 1" wide raised, embossed 22K Gold Band with lace pattern around the top in the company's unique antiqued & crackled style, they also feature a textured vertical spear pattern on the bottom two-thirds. They are showstoppers! Perfect for highballs, icy mixed drinks or just a very fancy glass of soda or water!These glasses are unsigned, indicating that they were produced in the 1970's-1980's when Culver began using paper labels.Identification: CUV86 pattern Culver glass began production in 1939 and the founders son ran the company until 1996 when it was sold. The Tyrol CUV86 pattern was first introduced in the 1950's and remained in the rotation through the 1980's. Important Note: The company that purchased Culver, Moderne Glass Company, has begun producing some of the old patterns again but they are using an old Culver signature without the Ltd.
