Description: Vintage collection of onyx and agate fruit includes two bunches of life-size grapes, a five inch long alabaster (?) banana, and what I believe is a small bunch of wild cherries. This set was acquired by me in Switzerland ten years ago from an older estate so I can guarantee these to be old and definitely not of Chinese origin. Each of the bunches are mounted on wire and the wire is bound with fine thread. The wooden branches appear real but they might be a cast pottery of some sort since they are very hard. Grape clusters are about eight inches long - see photos for best description. Condition is very good for the set; there are a couple grapes missing and one of the cherries is cracked in half. Very attractive set!
