Description: This is a vintage thread spool holder which will hold eight small spools of thread. It is made of metal and has metal pins. The bottom has four "feet" and they have a nice scalloped decoration (see last photograph). The thread holder measures approximately 4" across and just over 2" tall (to the top of the thread pins). The top turns on the base. The threads are pure silk and one is Belding Hemingway Co., two are Belding Corticelli and three are Belding Richardson. I don't know the age of the thread holder. It is from my personal collection and I have had it for several years. There is some wear but I feel it is all normal for something that was probably well used, I feel it is still in very good condition. I think originally there was probably a pincushion in the center but it is no longer present.
