Description: Lot of 3 Vintage Metlox POPPYTRAIL Red Rooster Vernon Oval Platters Two-11" platters & One-9.5" Platter Condition:This is a beautiful set of three (3) oval platters from the Metlox Poppytrail Red Rooster Vernon pattern. The lot includes one-9.5" platter and two-11" platters. They are stamped on the back "Made in California". This pattern was produced from 1955 to 1979. I don't know exactly how old these are, but they are definitely vintage. They have the brown band and red rooster in the center of each platter, although the color looks more orange to me. The small platter measures 9.75" x 6.75" x 1.25". It weighs 1 lb 2 oz. The larger platters measure 11.25" x 8.25" x 1.75". They each weigh 1 lb 9 oz. They are in excellent condition with no major chips, cracks, or crazing. One of the small platters has a minor chip on the rim. I don't even really see any scratches or use. They are glossy and beautiful. There is one spot on the rim of the larger platter that is missing some color, but it is not chipped. There are some minor inclusions from manufacturing.
