Description: Vintage Mid-Century Schmid German Rotating Country Maid Music Box Made in Japan This Music Box has a Bavarian Country Girl on the top. She is wood, with string hair going down her back, and a flower garland on her head. She is standing on a wooden disk that rotates when the music box is wound and playing. The wooden ball on the side slides in and out to turn on the box. I am sure the tune it plays has some nice Bavarian Title, but to me, it sounds like a slow version of 'Roll Out the Barrel.' I could be wrong! The box measures about 6 inches tall, and is 4+ inches wide. The + is the ball on the side.
