Description: Vintage Mrs. Leland’s 1958 Tin Christmas Unopened w/ Key & Plastic Lid - RARE This listing is for a Vintage Mrs. Leland’s Metal “Tin” of Old Fashioned Golden Butter-Bits; it is an unopened metal container. it is rare to find a Mrs. Leland’s Unopened container of candy in such nice condition offered for sale on ebay. One owner; this item was recently recovered from my parental home. Mrs. Leland’s Candy was one of our family’s favorites; it would seem that this container of candy was tucked away and it’s hiding place was forgotten! Don’t miss the opportunity to add this pretty Metal “Tin” to your collection. This Mrs. Leland’s “Tin” of Candy is unopened; the “key” used to open these styles of metal containers is still attached to the bottom surface of the container; it comes with a plastic yellow colored decorative lid; it features a colorful “Tree” or “Christmas Tree” Style Design on the exterior sides of the Metal “Tin” Container; Informational printing regarding the product is located on the top and bottom surface of the metal container. According to printing on the container; net weight [at the time of purchase] was 1 lb.; Mrs. Leland’s Master Kitchens Chicago, Illinois; Vacu-Fresh Canister; copyright 1958. The Key on the bottom of the container was used to remove the “vacu-sealed” lid in order to access the candy. Considering the age of this item; the exterior of this metal container is in very good condition. The container has slight surface/edge wear, scratches, scuffs and surface changes on the exterior surfaces; see photos. Please note that I was only able to examine the exterior surfaces of this container. I did not open the container and was unable to examine the interior condition of the metal container or to examine the candy within the container. I am selling this item as a Vintage Display item and not for consumption of the interior contents of this container. Due to the age of this item; the candy is probably no longer edible or safe for consumption. Approximate Measurements: 4.25” tall x 5” diameter.
