Description: A blue iridescent Murano glass vase from Seguso's Scavo collection, circa 1970. Scavo (meaning excavation in Italian) refers to the rough finish synonymous with Seguso Vetri d'arte glass. This technique involves heating the glass to over 800°c to create a patina reminiscent of excavated archaeological glass. Applied handles, beautiful color. There is one sliver on bottom but does not affect the integrity of this amazing piece (see pictures). Approximately 8” tall.
