Description: For sale as pictured: a white-painted brass frame by National Brass & Iron Works out of Dubuque, Iowa. It is numbered 4121. It is about 9 inches high with an oval inset frame about 3 inches high. The rear of the frame has a swing-out stand that allows the piece to stand freely on a surface; otherwise, it can hang on a wall. The style is ornate and probably dates to the 19th century (after which NB&IW became Smedley Steam Pump Co.) The piece is in overall good condition. There are a few chips in the paint that allow the brass to show through; these are only noticeable up close. An enterprising decorator could touch up or remove the paint. If it were me, I’d leave it as is. See photos for details.
