The set appears to be in the Cochiti style based upon the various artists signatures and includes 7 key figures including Mary, the 3 wise men, an Angel, and 2 shepherds. (One might be Joseph…hard to tell) and is perfect for display during the holiday season. Whether you're a collector of nativity sets or simply appreciate unique and beautiful decor, this Native American nativity set is a signature piece that stands apart from anything else available and cannot be replicated. The various animals were acquired separately and many have the original artists signatures. This set has been well loved in my family for fifty years and many of the animals are missing ears, antlers, tails, while other parts may have been glued back on. The original 7 pottery people are in excellent condition except for the minor chips shown in the pictures. Unfortunately the original artist is unknown to me so am unable at attribute these wonderful pieces to an individual. I expect that I am grossly undervaluing the price of this set but will be happy to see it go to a good home. Artist signatures noted are Virginia Naranjo, Danica Cordero, and Martha Arquera amongst others than I can not decipher.
