Description: 1940's-1950's vintage Navajo sterling silver turquouse 16 piece concho belt including buckle. This belt measures 50 1/2" in overall length . The wide black leather measures 44" by 2 7/8" wide and the center belt measures 49" by 7/8" wide. There are 7 oval conchos measuring 3 1/8" by 2 3/4". There are 8 butterfly conchos that measure 2 1/2" by 11/4". The buckle measures 3 1/4" by 2 3/4". It weighs667 grams. This belt can fit a 39.5", and 41" waist with the existing holes in the belt. You can add one at 40". There is a single light blue turquoise stone set in the center of each concho and two stones in the buckle. Turquoise stones are well seated. Each concho has detailed stamp work and patina with copper fasteners in the back of conchos. The artist's hallmark is unknownwhich is not uncommon for very old pieces. It has been tested for silver.
