Description: Here is a lovely comb back Windsor armchair from the American manufacturer Nichols & Stone of Gardner, MA. I believe it is solid maple with an Old Pine finish and probably dates to the 1950s/60s. It has bamboo style turned legs with a barrel shaped midsection and an overall colonial style. Nichols & Stone began making furniture in the 1850s and finally closed up shop around 2008. They have since been reincarnated under the Stickley name and are available again in some limited forms. The chair is a bit on the small size so ideal for a small adult or big kid or a side chair for presentation in any room.
