Description: Very cool vintage novelty table lighter in the form of an SLR camera on a tripod. The shutter release cable opens the wick cover and activates the lighter. The tripod folds out and is sturdy and stable to hold the lighter. It can be unscrewed from the camera. The cable release functions just like a remote shutter on a real camera! The box is original and in excellent condition. The camera-lighter measures 2-1/2" by 1-3/4". With the tripod it is 4" and standing up on tripod, it's about 3-1/4" tall. It has a built-in functioning compass. The manufacturer is K.K.W. and it was made in Japan, 1950's or 60's I'd guess. This novelty lighter and it's original box are both in excellent, looks like unused, condition. Very clean and shows no use or wear. The wick housing on the camera sits slightly elevated on one side but this does not seem to interfere with function, nor is it loose. Just mentioning for accuracy. A really cool vintage lighter - great for lighter collectors or camera enthusiasts! A really fun piece that will be packed securely to arrive safely.
