You side mount it using a pipe up to a 2-1/2". You can also take off the L shaped piece and hang it straight down in pendant fashion as shown in one of the drawings. Pendant mounts to a 1-1/4" NPS pipe. These are not reproductions or cheap chinese small versions you see on eBay for $100, these are real commercial units and will last a lifetime.
