Description: THIS VINTAGE OLCUT- UNION CUT CO. CARIBOU KNIFE was made in the 1930's. It is a very large coke bottle shaped reindeer knife and it measures 5 1/4" closed. The tang stamp states OLCUT brand with 2 stars stamped on it and the words Union Cut Co., Olean, N.Y. The blade still has it's factory edge. The cellulose handle is embossed with the word CARIBOU on it, see photo. A caribou is a large reindeer with palmate antlers. The cellulose handle is crack free even at all the pins. The blade has no wobble and has good snap and stays open at any position. Alot of knives this old are usually missing the bail, but not this one, it was well taken care of.
