Description: Vintage Or Antique Carved Coral Flying Bird Obidome Japanese Kimono Sash Pin. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. This is a beautiful Japanese obidome, which is a kind of brooch worn on the obi (sash) that goes with kimono. It is different from a western-style brooch because it has two loops on the back instead of a pin. You would need to thread a cord or ribbon through the back to wear it with western clothes. This obidome has lovely workmanship but is not signed. The back is silver tone metal but I have not tested it yet to see exactly what it is made from. It is in good condition but it has all the small imperfections you would expect in a handmade natural coral item. It has a few tiny dark points in the coral; please see the photos. I do not have any original box but I will wrap it securely for shipping. Non-smoking home with cats. Please ask any questions in advance as I do not accept returns.
