Description: Offered for sale is this really cool vintage Bakelite bracelet! It is 1 1/8" wide and has a 3/8" thick "domed" shape. The bracelet has a 2.5" interior diameter and weighs a chunky 68 grams The bracelet is a solid canary yellow color that was overdyed an emerald green color. Once the overdye was applied, the artist added the oval dot and slash carvings to create the bracelet's cool mid century design! The bracelet is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. No fading to the overdyed areas of the bracelet were noted. Positive test for Bakelite using Simichrome polish. (Had to test using a Q-tip to get into the carved crevices where the Bakelite was exposed; (See photo #10). Testing the overdyed green areas with Simichrome will not yield a positive result.
