Description: Here is a vintage pink silk kimono with woven pine needles. It is in excellent condition and probably wearable. I found three small spots on the exterior of the kimono. There is one small spot on the on the left eri (collar) that is somewhat noticeable but would probably be hidden when the collar is folded over while being worn. I also noted another faint spot on the right sleeve. I noticed one tiny snag on the back side. I photographed these small flaws and included them in the pictures above. The lining is in good shape, and I did not notice any holes, tears, or loose seams. This pretty kimono is 61 inches long (155 cm), and the sleeve length is 21 inches (53 cm). The measurement from the nape of the neck to the wrist (yuki) is 25 inches (64 cm), and the shoulder-to-shoulder is 25 inches (64 cm). The hem width is 54 inches (137 cm). This lovely kimono is woven from wonderful variegated pink silk in a design of pine needles. There are also tiny white speckled spots that are part of the design. This kimono is very versatile and could be worn for a number of occasions or kitsuke practice. Because this is a vintage kimono with some slight imperfections, it is being sold as is. Please read the description carefully and look at the pictures closely before bidding on or buying this item. Many old kimono have been in storage with mothballs for decades and may have a slight smell. We try to air them out, but sometimes there is a residual smell. Japanese kimono and other clothing items run smaller in size than Western clothing. It is also important to remember that Japanese kimono are often rather long in order to allow for an ohashori. The length is adjusted using himo or ties which do not come with the kimono. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I am happy to answer. Thank you for looking at this listing.
