What we have here is a vintage Pflueger AKRON No. 1893 level-wind bait cast reel, circa 40’s/50’s, made in U.S.A. It’s very clean, lubricated, and operates smoothly. It's in VG condition. The reel features external heavy chrome plated metal parts including the spool, red jeweled, free spool, a “clicker,” adjustable spool tension knob, and green handle knobs that turn freely. It features a gear ratio of 3.7:1 and 100-yard 12 lb. test old fashioned black bait cast line, which is spooled on the reel. This rugged reel measures 2” in diameter, 2¼” across the side plates. It weighs 8.6 oz. with the line. $5 S&H.
