Other: Shirley Mason (1900-1979), born Leonie Flugrath, silent film actress in the teens and 20s. Her sisters Edna Flugrath and viola Dana were also actresses. She was married first to director Bernard J. Durning then later Sidney Lanfield. Walter Frederick Seely was a Canadian photographer and painter cited in his obituary in Variety as a “pioneer” Hollywood portrait photographer. He was known to shoot many of his portraits on film sets then develop the film and print the images in the darkroom of his friend, the photographer Tina Modotti’s studio.
