Description: Vintage Red Wing Pottery Futura CRAZY RHYTHM One Small Fruit/Sauce Bowl MCM in fair used condition. The listing is for 1 fruit/sauce bowl. Red Wing Potteries was founded in 1877 in Red Wing, MN, as a manufacturer of utilitarian stoneware. Red Wing’s dinnerware production began in 1935 and continued until their closure in 1967. The Futura shape was described by the company as being “designed for practicality as well as interest and grace”. The pattern Crazy Rhythm offered a funky abstract design in muted colors added to a popular shape line. The bowl is 5 1/4" by 4 7/8" oval shaped and is not quite 2" tall. The bowl is marked Red Wing Handpainted Ovenproof USA 319. The bowl has a faint crack going through the center of it. It does not appear to be ready to break in half though, but it is there. Please refer to the pictures. Thanks for looking.
