Description: For sale is a vintage Saint Dominic Savio 3rd class touch relic.Saint Dominic Savio is the Patron Saint of choirboys, troubled youth,and falsely accused. This item measures approx. 1 7/8" wide by 2 1/2" high (not includingcord on top) and the tiny relic cloth measures only 1/8" wide. This item is made from a soft material on both sides and there is a picture attached to the front. Both the picture and relic are covered and protectedwith a layer of plastic. This item is vintage and has age and wear including discoloration. First and 2nd class relics are rare, are considered sacred, and are usually found in churches. First class relics are actually from the body of the saint like a strand of hair.Second class relics are something the saint owned like a Bible or a piece of clothing. 3rd class are just "touch" relics. They are pieces of cloth that have been touched to a1st or 2nd class relic and then cut up into tiny pieces and put into medals, holders, etc... It may have been a piece of cloth that was touched to the saint, touched their tomb, or touched to anything they owned or wore. I only sell 3rd class relics which I have bought over the years at various sales, and for themost part, I have no history of the items.
