Copyright 1948 by Production and Marketing Company (as stated on the game board); this edition was sold until 1953 when all remaining rights to Scrabble were acquired by Selchow & Richter. (S&R had acquired rights to the original Scrabble in 1948.) Game includes: > Red cardboard box with snap closure lid, about 14 1/2" by 7 3/4" by 1 3/8" > All 100 solid plastic tiles (possibly Catalin), ivory color, 1" square > 4 black plastic tile racks with scoring peg holes, 7" by 2" > 17 clear plastic scoring pegs > Game board, 14" square. Game weighs about 2 lbs. 10 oz. Condition notes: > Board has scuffs and marks, and a little edge/corner wear > Tiles have no cracks, chips or marks > Racks have no cracks or chips; pegs fit easily in holes > Box has edge/corner wear, notably at top rear (see pictures).
