Description: Offered for sale is a vintage Scripto VU-Lighter, Made in USA circa 1960s. This lighter advertises Trojan Tool Corp of Watervliet, NY. Based on my research, Trojan Tool Corp is no longer in business. The lighter is in excellent condition overall, showing signs of occasional use and pocket carry. Scripto started out in 1924 as M.A. Ferst Company and manufactured pencils, pens and mechanical pencils. They did not start making the Vu-lighters until 1955. Needs only flint and fluid to work.
