Description: This VHS Camcorder was purchased new in 1994 and used for several years as a family camera until it became obsolete. It was then stored in a garage until recently. The original battery would not take a charge however you can plug the camera in directly to an outlet using the power cord. I replaced the small CR2025 battery (needed for the device to turn on) and plugged it in (one new CR2025 battery is in the camcorder and a second from the pack of two is included in the purchase). The device turned on (see photos). The spotlight light works and the VHS cassette tape compartment opens. I popped in a brand new VHS tape (included with purchase) and attempted to film something. The cassette made sounds like it was moving, however the small screen in the eyepiece did not turn on and the automatic zoom on the lense did not function. It could be I did not properly set it up or it may be in need of repair. This could be a good project for a home movie enthusiast. This purchase includes: Sears VHS Camcorder model #934.53802391, charging cord, battery, aux cords (to connect to TV), plug-in mic (used to dub sound over video in playback mode), owner's manual, two new CR2025 batteries ($5.00 value), and one new VHS cassette ($9.00 value). Sold as-is, no guarantees that it will work.
