Description: Found at an estate sale, this lovely vintage 8" x 10" offset lithograph print by acclaimed Washington artist Charles Mulvey (1918-2001) is titled “Shore Pines”. It’s signed in black ink by the artist in the lower right margin (see photos). The second photo shows a 12” ruler for scale. As is unfortunately all too often the case at estate sales, I wasn't able to learn anything about the exact age or history of this evocative print, which I would guess to be between 40 and 50 years old. Over the years right edge of the paper has become curled and there’s a shallow crease near the lower right corner (see photos). One photo shows the signature as viewed through a 10X loupe. Charles Mulvey (1918-2001) was a renowned and prolific painter of watercolors residing in the small coastal town of Seaview on Washington's Long Beach Peninsula. He's best known for his lovely watercolors of Washington and Oregon coastal scenes. His watercolor technique has been described as "matchless and deceptively simple".
