Vintage Signed Oil on Canvas Landscape Pond Erich Martin Muller

Description: This is a beautiful Painting done by Erich Martin Muller. The piece looks to have been done around the middle of the 20th century. The piece is signed as shown in picture 4. You can see the oxidation on the back of the canvas from the age. Note in picture 5 I'm showing the edge where the nailers are, if you look there is alot of slack just outside those tacks and you can see older holes where nails used to be. This piece was put onto a slightly smaller stretcher at some point, not recently, looks to have been done quite a long time ago, that being said there is some extra canvas that hangs off the back side not alot, but its shown in the last picture (12) The piece is framed, in a vintage wood frame which has been grey washed at some point, nice pickled effect. The stretcher was probably replaced due to framing, or maybe it was sloppy / loose, hard to tell, but if you look at pictures 4. 6 & 7 you can see some ripple / craquelure in the paint / canvas. Also the material is more of a Linen, not as rigid as canvas. The piece has a great look and is nicely painted. Please see photos this is the piece we are selling, note there was old tape holding this in on the back which we removed, but there was some sticky tape residue left behind, but it is on the back, we added 4 brads to hold the painting in place so its ready to hang (shown in pic 12, on the right hand side) Great piece of Art by a known artist.
